Counseling services will consist of group counseling that involves the following methods and classes:

Reintegration and Empowerment

Reintegration is mostly understood as a multidimensional process enabling individuals to re-establish the economic, social, and psychosocial relationships needed to maintain life, livelihood, and dignity and achieve inclusion today.

Court-Ordered Drug Offender Education Program (DOEP)

The goal of the Texas Drug Offenders Education Program (TDOEP Brazos) is to educate participants on the effects of drug abuse and dependence. The 15-hour Texas State Certified Program is taught in five, 3-hour sessions required by the State of Texas and is designed to help identify patterns of drug use. Drug abuse and dependence can lead to a loss of employment, educational opportunities, loss of relationships, time, money, and freedom. This class will satisfy the mandate of the court, DPS, CPS, probation and parole officers, and your personal needs. Interested individuals can apply for services at www.destinedforchange.net.

Anger Management

Anger management counseling is a type of therapy that helps you understand, cope with, and express your anger in healthier ways. This course allows one to identify who can help you identify your anger triggers and teach you strategies to respond better to them.
(12- weeks of Counseling)

Cognitive Intervention

In this course, you will learn about the several forms of violence and its causes. You will also learn about efforts to reduce violence and engage in a day of compassion. You will also learn about behaviors that are common with family/partner violence as well the physical and mental issues that frequently accompany them as well as how to detour from this negative behavior.
